TOFF AFRICA is a professional identity network for African creative professionals — models, photographers, stylists, directors, and more. We are operated by TOFF AFRICA, building from Nigeria and connecting Africa to the world.

We collect the following categories of data when you use TOFF AFRICA:

• —Account information: your name, email address, and username — provided when you create an account.
• —Profile information: your biography, location (city and country), physical measurements (for modelling profiles), portfolio images, and career history — provided when you complete your profile.
• —Usage data: the pages you visit, searches you make, and profiles you view — collected automatically as you use the platform.
• —Device data: your browser type, operating system, and IP address — collected automatically for security and platform improvement purposes.

We collect only what we need. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as racial origin, political opinions, or health information beyond what you voluntarily provide in your creative profile.

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

• —To display your professional profile to brands, agencies, and other creatives who use TOFF AFRICA.
• —To facilitate contact requests between users — every contact request sent through the platform represents an Opportunity Created.
• —To operate, maintain, and improve the TOFF AFRICA platform and the experience it delivers.
• —To send you important service notifications, such as messages about contact requests or changes to this policy.
• —To analyse aggregate, anonymised usage patterns that help us understand how the platform is used and where it can improve.

We never sell your personal data to third parties. We never use your data for advertising purposes outside of TOFF AFRICA.

You have full rights over your data at all times. Specifically, you have the right to:

• —Access all data we hold about you by contacting us at the email below.
• —Edit your profile information at any time through your Dashboard.
• —Delete your profile and content at any time through your account settings, or by contacting us.
• —Request full account deletion, including all personal data we hold — we will action this within 30 days.
• —Object to any processing of your data and request that we restrict how we use it.
• —Data portability: request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

Your creative work belongs to you. This section explains exactly how your images are used on TOFF AFRICA.

• —You retain full ownership of all images and portfolio content you upload to TOFF AFRICA at all times.
• —By uploading images to the platform, you grant TOFF AFRICA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display those images on the TOFF AFRICA platform and in promotional materials for TOFF AFRICA (such as our website, social media, and press materials).
• —This licence is limited to promoting TOFF AFRICA and your profile within it. We will not license your images to third parties without your explicit consent.
• —You can revoke this licence at any time by removing the images from your profile or deleting your account.

• —Your data is stored securely via Supabase, which uses PostgreSQL hosted in EU West (Frankfurt, Germany) with enterprise-grade security.
• —Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard bcrypt hashing and are never stored in plain text. We do not have access to your password.
• —We use SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers.
• —Access to user data is strictly limited to authorised TOFF AFRICA personnel who require it to operate the platform.
• —In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

We use a minimal set of cookies to operate the platform:

• —Authentication cookies: essential cookies that keep you logged into your account. Without these, the platform cannot function.
• —Preference cookies: we store your theme preference (light or dark) in your browser's local storage.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or any cookies that share your browsing behaviour with external parties.

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate TOFF AFRICA:

• —Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Their privacy policy governs their handling of data on our behalf.
• —Vercel — hosting and deployment. They process your IP address to serve you the platform.

We do not share your personal data with these services beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the platform.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the platform or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify users via the platform or by email. The date at the top of this page will always show when it was last updated.

Continued use of TOFF AFRICA after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
